Shipping Coordinator needed in South Sacramento to manage outgoing small shipments. This role involves overseeing the logistics process, maintaining a safe work environment, and serving as backup for office personnel. The ideal candidate should exhibit a professional attitude at all times and have computer skills. Responsibilities:
Organize paperwork and prepare materials.
Maintain stock of shipping supplies, including items, boxes, and padding.
Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring regular cleaning.
Package items for UPS and hand delivery, including jewelry and specialty items.
Gain proficiency in all aspects of the shipping department, including paw prints, WCU, and standard shipping.
Handle and resolve customer concerns and complaints related to engraving and shipping responsibilities.
Ensure daily cleaning and appropriate setup of the Shipping Center.
Continuously improve knowledge of service capabilities.
Adhere to safety procedures as instructed by the safety manager.
Attend relevant seminars in coordination with management.
Answer phone calls as necessary.
Serve as a backup for all office personnel responsibilities.
Operate class C vehicles for picking up and dropping off inventory as needed.
Fulfill other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements:
Proficiency in using personal computers with software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Familiarity with UPS Worldship.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with strong phone etiquette and customer relations.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Possession of a valid CA Driver' s License and the ability to be insured.
Preferences:
Familiarity with inventory management.
Knowledge of basic safety and compliance regulations.
Experience in customer service and handling inquiries or complaints.
Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
