Job Description
Senior Accountant needed in the Roseville area for an established healthcare organization. This person will complete finance and accounting functions and ensure accurate and timely preparation of month-end close, including journal entries, variance analysis, trend analysis, and communication for local and regional staff. Completes balance sheets, audit support, tax filings, and other governmental required reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Records general ledger journal entries and ensures proper coding and maintenance of detailed records of financial transactions
- Performs variance analysis and examines discrepancies, communicates financial results and outcome of variances, analysis, and reconciliations to management.
- Reconciles general ledger balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities, and equity)
- Performs sales tax, income tax and other governmental tax filings
- Performs audits, prepares audit documentation, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Evaluates the financial impact of new initiatives and return on investment for healthcare services
- Other duties as assigned may include system implementations, special projects, etc.
Requirements:
- Associate s Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting & finance in a healthcare environment
Preferences:
- Bachelor s Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
