PAYROLL SPECIALIST needed for an established Roseville accounting firm dedicated to providing exceptional financial services to their clients. This is a 40-hour/full time role with the opportunity for temp to hire. Responsibilities:
Process payroll for multiple domestic and international clients ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain and update payroll records; employee information, earnings, deductions, and taxes.
Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to ensure payroll compliance with company policies and labor laws, in states with CTW employees
Provide excellent customer service to all staff regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues
Identify and correct errors or discrepancies in payroll processing and reporting
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.
Respond to client inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their payroll needs and concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting-related field is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a CPA or similar firm.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., HRIS, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
Benefits:

Pay Range: $28-$30
Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
