PAYROLL SPECIALIST needed for an established Roseville accounting firm dedicated to providing exceptional financial services to their clients. This is a 40-hour/full time role with the opportunity for temp to hire. Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for multiple domestic and international clients ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Maintain and update payroll records; employee information, earnings, deductions, and taxes.

• Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to ensure payroll compliance with company policies and labor laws, in states with CTW employees

• Provide excellent customer service to all staff regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues

• Identify and correct errors or discrepancies in payroll processing and reporting

• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.

• Respond to client inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.

• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their payroll needs and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting-related field is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a CPA or similar firm.

• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., HRIS, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.

Benefits:

Pay Range: $28-$30

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
