Payroll Processor temporarily needed for a three-month project in Sacramento. This is a 40 hour/full time position in a very busy accounting department for an established organization. Role priorities are to ensure timely administration, reconciliation, and compliance of all payroll processing functions.

DUTIES

• Processing payroll, resolving all payroll related issues, coordinating between payroll, benefits, and time tracking

• Developing and producing reports, providing end user support, and working on projects to improve project and system processes.

• Other duties include completing analytical payroll projects.

• Review, scan, and file electronic timesheets. VOE request responses. Garnishment entries, record keeping and correspondence.

• EDD claims responses. Responding to payroll requests and inquiries, data entry and record keeping.

PREFERRED

• Public sector, public transit experience and multiple union/CBA experience is a huge plus

• Knowledge of SAP is a plus

• Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software

• Able to work independently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six (6) months/one (1) year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Accredited community college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence schools are likely sources. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience performing payroll administration in an organization with multiple bargaining units.

Pay Range: $25-$30
