Maintenance Mechanic needed in the Sacramento area for a renowned industry leader in steel fabrication. This skilled and experienced mechanic will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our manufacturing and fabrication equipment and facilities for diverse steel projects across Northern and Central California.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting preventive maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborating with production teams to address equipment-related challenges and optimize workflow.

• Installing, aligning, and adjusting new equipment as needed.

• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

• Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, both during and outside of regular working hours.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Familiarity with welding, machining, and fabrication processes.

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for emergency repairs.

Preferences:

• Certification or degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field.

• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies.

• Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
