Job Description

Insurance Verification Specialist needed in Sacramento area for a dynamic, fast growing company that specializes in the healthcare industry. This is a newly created position for the right person who wants to in the ground floor of a well-known national company known for its expertise in outpatient surgery. This is a long term contract position with a possible temp to hire, full time opportunity with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

Determine the allowed amount for scheduled procedures.
Calculate patient s estimated responsibility based on benefits and scheduled procedures.
Read and interpret insurance benefits to patients.
Determine what the copay, coinsurance, deductible and the out-of-pocket maximum are.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of different insurance products such as HMO, PPO and Medicare Advantage plans.
Comfortable talking to patients about their estimated balances and explaining benefits.
Excellent customer service.
Strong communication skills.
Work well in a team environment.

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
