Insurance Verification Specialist will be needed in Sacramento area for a dynamic, fast growing company that specializes in the healthcare industry. This is a position for the right person who wants in on the ground floor of a well-known national company in a medical company. This is a long term contract position with a possible temp to hire, full time, 40-hour opportunity with excellent benefits.   

Responsibilities:

• Determine the allowed amount for scheduled procedures.

• Calculate patient’s estimated responsibility based on benefits and scheduled procedures.  

• Read and interpret insurance benefits to patients.  

• Determine what the copay, coinsurance, deductible and the out-of-pocket maximum are.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of different insurance products such as HMO, PPO and Medicare Advantage plans.

• Comfortable talking to patients about their estimated balances and explaining benefits.

• Excellent customer service.

• Strong communication skills.

• Work well in a team environment.

Pay Rate $20 per hour

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.  Other compliance factors may be involved, depending on position including COVID Vaccination/Boosters.
