Job Description

Financial Clearance Team Member for a large Sacramento based health care organization. This is a newly created position that offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to get in on the ground floor with unlimited possibilities. Long term, contract position with a possibility of temp to hire.

Responsibilities:

Serves as the pre-service point of contact for patients to obtain all necessary information to pre-register and financially clear patients.
Conducts insurance eligibility/ benefit verification, referral/ authorization and financial education on designated accounts.
Performs activities that relate to pre-registration and financial clearance for multiple patient types.
Obtains and/ or verifies demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information in the process of pre-registering and financially clearing patients for service deliver.

Requirements:

Experience within a hospital or clinic environment, insurance company, manage care organization.
Working knowledge and understanding of insurance terminology desired.
Strong data entry skills required as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills and customer service.

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
