Cost Estimator/Property Insurance Risk Specialist experienced with valuation of property risk relating to water-specific projects is needed for a local Association that does great work out of Roseville, CA, offering a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a 40-hour/full-time role, 7:30 am -4:30 pm with a potential for a Hybrid/Remote option. This position involves statewide travel. This is a specialized position. Qualified candidates will be considered immediately.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough on-site appraisals and analysis of property assets for member agencies.

- Provide expert advice on insuring district property value.

- Maintain precise replacement cost schedules.

- Develop databases to facilitate property valuation.

- Identify and communicate property risks to management.

- Cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

- Assist in training and support during program renewals.

- Determine assets for inclusion in member schedules.

- Document asset attributes for accurate valuation.

- Apply costing techniques with precision.

Type of Projects include:

• New and upgraded Waste Water, Water Pump Stations, Water Treatment Plants and Sewer Lift Stations.

• New Office , Shop, and Warehouse buildings.

• New residential home and land properties.

• Review current values and assets of Hydroelectric facilities, Transmission Substations and Electrical transmission and distribution lines.

• Water Tanks; welded steel, bolted, concrete and redwood.
    

Other

- Assist in drafting communications.

- Attend presentations and meetings.

- Aid in the preparation of staff reports.

- Must understand project drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with California construction standards and codes.

• Experience in estimating replacement costs for buildings and equipment.

• Understanding of property insurance forms and risk reduction strategies.

• Proficiency in office software and cost reporting systems.

• Minimum of five years of experience in construction cost estimation or insurance appraisals.

• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and full coverage auto insurance.

- Salary range: $120k - $150k
