Job Description
River City Staffing is seeking a Cost Accountant on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate possesses a calm and composed personality, enjoys working onsite, and has a flexible schedule between the hours of 7: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM or 8: 00 AM - 4: 00 PM. With 5-10 years of relevant experience, the Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in handling accounts payable, supervising payable accounts, and preparing financial statements and month-end reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
- Supervise payable accounts, including vendor relations and payment negotiations.
- Collaborate with various departments to monitor and control costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Prepare financial statements and month-end reports to provide insights into the company' s financial performance.
- Participate in onsite visits to understand cost dynamics and gather relevant data.
- Analyze cost data to recommend improvements in operational efficiency.
- Implement cost control measures and strategies to optimize profitability.
- Work closely with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Maintain records and documentation for financial audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
- Experience in Intacct ERP a plus!
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work onsite and engage with operational teams.
- A calm and composed personality, especially in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of plumbing industry practices is a plus.
- Flexibility in working hours (7: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM or 8: 00 AM - 4: 00 PM).
