River City Staffing is seeking a Cost Accountant on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate possesses a calm and composed personality, enjoys working onsite, and has a flexible schedule between the hours of 7: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM or 8: 00 AM - 4: 00 PM. With 5-10 years of relevant experience, the Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in handling accounts payable, supervising payable accounts, and preparing financial statements and month-end reports. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
Supervise payable accounts, including vendor relations and payment negotiations.
Collaborate with various departments to monitor and control costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in the development and maintenance of cost accounting systems and procedures.
Prepare financial statements and month-end reports to provide insights into the company' s financial performance.
Participate in onsite visits to understand cost dynamics and gather relevant data.
Analyze cost data to recommend improvements in operational efficiency.
Implement cost control measures and strategies to optimize profitability.
Work closely with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Maintain records and documentation for financial audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
Experience in Intacct ERP a plus!
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work onsite and engage with operational teams.
A calm and composed personality, especially in fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of plumbing industry practices is a plus.
Flexibility in working hours (7: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM or 8: 00 AM - 4: 00 PM).
