Controller with experience at large non-profit organization is needed in the Sacramento area. This is a great opportunity to join a strong effort to assist others in the community and be a part of a growing organization. This is a full time, 40-hr position and long term contract. Pay range $40-$65  

Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Expert-level analytical, written, math and computer skills.

• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

• Background with cash management, expenditure and disbursement requirements regarding funding Terms and Conditions and Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG); laws CFR 200, and regulations.

• Knowledge of reporting requirements relating to fiscal management in nonprofit organizations and Government Fund Accounting

• Knowledge of budgetary preparation and financial forecasting

• Ability to manage, lead, coach, develop and evaluate staff performance.

• Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

• Experienced with leadership and management skills

• Advanced planning and organizational skills

Education & Experience:

• BA in accounting or finance required.

• Certified Public Accountant preferred.

• A minimum of seven years’ full-time experience in the accounting field, two of these years must be at a management level in a similar sized agency.

• Accounting experience in nonprofit organizations preferred.        

 Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.  Other compliance factors may be involved, depending on position including COVID Vaccination/Boosters.
