Contract Marketing and Communications Specialist is needed for an established client in Sacramento. This person will provide vital support for a duration of approximately 3 months. This is a full time/40 hour, onsite position. Ideal candidate will have strong outreach skills and ability to speak in front of a public audience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates marketing and promotional campaigns by identifying goals and objectives, coordinating graphics, writing copy, discussing options with departments, distributing information, and analyzing results.

• Contributes to social media posts and responding to customer comments.

• Designs and develops electronic and print materials and publications by researching and analyzing materials and options, preparing plans, writing copy, organizing information for final print, reviewing and editing drafts, and tracking inventory.

• Writes for a variety of promotional material by gathering information from a variety of sources, writing copy, editing information, reviewing and gathering data, and preparing information for electronic and print channels.

• Assists with organizing and participating in special events and outreach activities by reviewing goals, preparing plans, identifying coordinating departments and activities, including set up/tear down, and creating presentations and making recommendations.

The minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing or a closely related field or a minimum of seven (7) years comparable experience.

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in marketing, public relations, community relations or a closely related field.

Pay Range $30 to $35 per hour

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
