Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Serves as senior-level strategic and functional finance and administration leader in directing the organization for future rapid growth.
- Responsible for budgeting, day-to-day accounting and financial management and reporting.
- Maintain financial and operational systems, pursuing new and innovative solutions that support programs and services to improve the organization s ability to fulfill its mission.
- Provide annual audit oversight, work closely to support the auditors to ensure resolution of questions on revenue and expenses and required fiscal policy.
- Supervise the Human Resources Department in coordination with department staff that includes onboarding processes, training, compliance with employment law, maintenance of personnel records, evaluations, and employee retention.
- Oversee information and technology management in coordination with IT contractors including telephone, surveillance, security system and data security and other technology.
- Work closely with the Grant Finance Manager and Grant Department in designing and implementing a grant management process including training staff to track and code revenue and expenses accordingly.
- Develop and maintain compliance with all government and private funder requirements as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Attend board meetings, provide mentorship to less experience internal staff and leaders, and develop a Risk Management system that identifies, quantifies, and manages risk during the life of the projects cush as leases, vendor contracts, and projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
- Master s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or CPA is strongly preferred.
- Five years minimum of senior-level financial management on government and non-government grants in an organization with an annual budget of $5 million or more.
- Working knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices is required including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and appropriate Code of Federal Regulations.
- Superior proficiency working with QuickBooks/Financial Management, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Strong Communication skills, ability to speak/read/write/translate in one or more languages other than English is a plus.
Must be able to provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA. Other compliance factors may be involved, depending on position including COVID Vaccination/Boosters, clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check.
