Accounting Clerk with Payroll and Accounts Receivable skills needed immediately for a full time position located in the North Sacramento area. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for direct hire, for the right person who has been successful in a similar role.

Qualifications include:
  • Strong understanding of GAAP Accounting
  • Advanced verbal and written Communication Skills and commitment to exceptional Customer Service
  • Proven attention to detail and efficiency in all operations
  • Knowledge of Wage and Hour and Labor Laws, Fair Credit Practices and Collection Regulations 
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage payroll, and accounting figures and financial records. 
  • Ability to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services

Duties include Payroll:
  • Full cycle manual, semi-monthly payroll
  • Computation of wage and overtime payments, and prevailing wages
  • Audit and manually calculate and input time cards
  • Process all semi-monthly and quarterly payroll taxes; including payments and posting
  • Creation and maintenance of spreadsheets and reports as needed, as they relate to payroll and aging
  • Employee file and Attendance Binder management

Accounts Receivable
  • Full Cycle Accounts Receivable through Reconciliations and negotiations
  • Verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data, and preparing bank deposits
  • Prepare payment applications, lien notices and waivers, affidavits, W-9’ s and other documents
  • New account set-up and high volume invoicing
  • Verify discrepancies, resolve client billing issues, and process any charge backs and change orders

Must have strong MS Office experience including MS Word and Excel, alpha numeric data entry,   10-key skills, and an aptitude for numbers. Must have a minimum of one year experience in a similar position.

Must be able to provide two supervisory references, clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check and have the ability to provide proper identification to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
