Human Resources/Payroll Specialist is needed at a large Sacramento area manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR/Payroll, with hands-on experience and educational/training foundation. Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required. This is a full time, onsite DIRECT HIRE POSITION and qualified candidates will be considered immediately. MUST BE BILINGUAL in English/Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll in ADP Work Force Now; Check timesheets for accuracy to process. Enter data into database/spreadsheets.
Handle direct deposit, garnishment, retirement contributions and reimbursements. Adjust salary for pay raises, bonuses and commissions.
Oversee administration of employee benefits, compensation, and payroll.
Strong knowledge of overall workers compensation processes through completion.
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and retention.
Direct involvement in full cycle recruitment processes, onboarding, training, and development programs.
Manage employee relations by providing guidance and support to all staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and providing ongoing feedback and development opportunities for employees.
Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess effectiveness of HR initiatives, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve HR practices.
Drive organizational change initiatives and provide guidance on restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning to support business growth.
Collaborate with safety team to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all regulations.
Education | Experience
HR Experience and HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is required.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of one year of progressive HR and payroll experience.
Experience in manufacturing is a strong plus.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficient in ADP Payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Pay Range: $75k - $85k
Comprehensive Benefits Plan Available Upon Hire.
Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
