Commercial Insurance Agent needed in the North Sacramento area for a dynamic, non-profit company in the public service water industry. The right candidate will be driven, have great organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail. This is a newly created position that offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to get in on the ground floor with a non-profit that makes a difference in communities throughout California. A Full-time, Temp to Hire opportunity with excellent benefits if hired permanently.
Responsibilities:
Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company requests on a timely basis.
Review and order renewals according to client' s procedures.
Prepare quotations (converge summaries/ comparisons, proposals, and recommendations) as needed to facilitate client' s and or prospect' s understanding of coverages.
Work with the Managing Agent to analyze and assist with transmittal of applications to insurance carriers.
Perform all accounts transactions including applications, quotations, ID cards, proposals, summaries, endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, follow up, and correspondence on assigned accounts.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years commercial insurance experience is required.
Must have current California Commercial Insurance License.
Two plus years in and office environment.
Intermediate level experience with Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent customer service.
Strong Communication skills.
Must be able to provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA. Other compliance factors may be involved, depending on position including COVID Vaccination/Boosters, clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check.
