Accounting Assistant need for large Non-Profit Medical client in the Arden-Arcade area.  This is a temp to hire opportunity.

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare general ledger postings and statements
  • Process billing and invoicing
  • Create, maintain and reconcile subsidiary ledgers
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Fact check data and enter accurate transactions
  • Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Compile reports/summaries and report to management
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Assist Accounting Manager with audits, forecasts, and other fiscal planning
  • Post client payments and make collection calls as needed
  • Filing, mailing, and other duties as assigned

  • Proven accounting experience as an Accountant or Accounting Assistant
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Highly accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
  • High school degree
  • Associate’ s degree or higher preferred (or relevant experience)
  • Medical back office experience a plus

Must be able to provide a minimum of two supervisory references, clear a thorough drug screening, criminal background check and have the ability to provide proper identification to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
